Our History

1946

Edward Imperatore, age 24, founded Imperatore Steel Erectors Inc with his first crane.

1961

Imperatore continues to build the city of Providence, erecting the Providence Bonanza Bus Terminal.

1972

Imperatore erects bridges at the Route 95 Providence Convention Center

1987

Imperatore dismantles the 542 piece WW1 Memorial. Phase one of the relocation project.

1995

Imperatore successfully relocates and erects WWI Monument at Union Station, Providence, RI. 

2003

Imperatore assists Newport Hospital with a critical infrastructure lift.

2007

Imperatore Crane operators and riggers respond to emergency aircraft recovery at TF Green Airport.

2016

Imperatore is contracted to assist with the construciton of the Block Island Airport expansion project.

2017

Imperatore orchestrates the Super Bowl banner lift at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

2019

Imperatore is hired to hoist the New Years Eve ball in downtown Providence, RI. 

2021

Imperatore assists in the lift of a Christmas Tree in Taunton, MA.

2023

Imperatore is hired to hoist the Independent Man Statue at the Rhode Island State House.

Today in 2026, Imperatore Corporation continues to provide New England with unmatched construction services.
